Shree Narayan Medical Institute and Hospital celebrated Independence Day 2026 with enthusiasm, pride, and a strong sense of national unity.
Students, faculty members, doctors, and staff gathered across the campus to commemorate India’s independence and remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the nation.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony
The celebration began with the ceremonial hoisting of the Indian National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
The tricolour flying across the SNMIH campus created a powerful atmosphere of patriotism and reminded everyone of the values of courage, sacrifice, unity, and responsibility.
Remembering the Freedom Struggle
The programme provided an opportunity to reflect on India’s journey to independence and to honour the countless individuals who contributed to building a free and democratic nation.
Students were encouraged to understand that freedom also carries responsibilities toward society, community, and the country.
The Role of Healthcare Professionals in Nation Building
Healthcare professionals play an essential role in the progress and well-being of a nation.
For medical students, Independence Day serves as a reminder that their future responsibilities extend beyond clinical practice. Doctors contribute to nation building through compassionate patient care, disease prevention, public health, medical education, and service to communities.
SNMIH encourages students to carry the values of integrity, empathy, discipline, and social responsibility throughout their medical careers.
